With reference to your communication of the 18th
instant, No. 90638 I, in which you transmitted copy
of a telegram from H. M. Consul General at Ban Francisco relative to the export of Peanut 011 from Hong Kong to San Francisco, I am instructed by the Dirotor of the Var Trade Department to state for the information of Lord Robert Ceoil that this Department has no objection
to the export of the commodity in question in reasonable quantities, provided the produce is of foreign origin.
